THE WAY IT WAS

C. 1950's POSTCARD VIEW OF "THE WHITE SWAN" PUB AT MANSBRIDGE

It's difficult to believe this is the same pub today, much enlarged and with the wooden bridge gone and the main road bypassing it. In this view from the 1950's we see the new "sunroom" addition in place at the end of the building. The "White Swan" or "Swan" as it has been called in the past is one of the oldest public houses in our area still existing.

A very happy christmas & new year to all our readers
