The House built in the 1860's was part of the then 300-acre estate owned for over 50 years by Mr Mrs R W Fletcher
After acqusition by West End Parish Council of the derelict Hatch Grange House and 30-acre site on 1st July 1938
The house was gutted by fire on Sunday July 24th 1938 - Despite the efforts of local firemen.

Today Hatch Grange is a 30-acre public open space, owned by the West End Parish Council for over sixty years.
